I really like the idea of yours. I enjoyed your demo quite a lot. Positive: - Good atmosphere throughout the idea of storytelling and exploration - Great storytelling so humouros and warm and within good voice acting. - Good engine and good graphics in general Negative: - Way to polished textures, all this clean shinyness does not fit in my opinion to the warm storytelling and interaction on a spaceship. Not even the USS Enterprise is that clean. They have tepistry on the floor. Real Life is not only shown in some FamilyPics, but it s a good start. Good looking guy in the bathroom on the station by the way. BUT i miss "dirt and dust" so much on your game. - Character could walk a little faster. Maybe 15 or 20 %. - Hope it will become more challening in the mechanics. Pressing E on a Panel is just too easy to keep my attention. So thats it. Great idea so far. Hope you get a lot of positive feedback. Cheers Chris

Cheers Chris I'll try not to go too much into detail, but as for textures I can simply say that besides a few custom models the majority of the game is being made with asset packs from the Epic marketplace. This means that a lot of time is spent making sure assets from these various packs can be mixed with each other. This is done through texture and material editing/ Once of the drawbacks is that it limits certain options. I'll admit that how shiny some of the materials look like (and trust me I have toned that down significantly) the hardest part simply is to make these assets compatible. I've spent a lot of time modifying the base textures as well as creating custom materials. Most of the game's development is done by myself so I have to make sacrifices and I already spend way too much time nitpicking every little detail as it is. Walking speed has been tweaked countless times to the point where I personally am satisfied but I understand there's no universal preference and I'm afraid this depends on the person playing. I will say that I am going to tweak the run stamina values so that Aryn will be able to run longer. I'll need to test that at some point but I agree she should be able to run a little longer before having to catch her breath. I will attempt having some gameplay elements that require a bit more challenge, however most of the demo was focused on demonstrating abilities rather then creating something challenging. You'll be able to get a bit more feel for the overall game if you've played Echoes and even that is not created with much challenge in mind. However that said, I can also say that the challenges are mostly found during exploration. Meaning uncovering secrets. Throughout the game the player will be able to get side tracked by doors and other areas that are closed off. Being able to gain access to these areas requires quite a bit more effort but the payoff is a lot more in-depth information. I've mentioned this before but the game is being created to have fun. I'm doing my best to keep a balance between that and something that requires more from the player without making it too boring. It's a difficult balance and again, I understand that there are many different kinds of people out there. I hope that answers your questions and also thanks for the feedback.

Hi Joure,
thanks for your detailed reply. I had no idea that you re working a lot of this by yourself alone! WOW! Totally understanding that it cannot have the ammount of perfectness of a huge team by a huge company! Hey for that i wouldn´t complain a THING. Very well done and keep up the good work. Hope you have a lot of fun with it. And honestly....i didn´t realize that there is an running option. Ups. My fault. Sorry. -_-
It was nice playing it! Will come back and have a look when it´s done. So far, have a lot of fun with your project!
Cheers!
